Dive Sites at Gili Meno For All Levels
Gili Meno is a small island in Indonesia that is located between Gili Trawangan and Gili Air. This island is known for its beautiful natural scenery and clean beaches with soft white sand. Gili Meno also has many activities such as snorkeling,scuba diving,and sailing. Here are some dive sites on Gili Meno:
1. Turtle heaven
If you’re looking for some turtle heaven on earth,there are plenty of great places to visit. Located on Gili Meno,Turtle Heaven is characterized by slope areas and crystalline waters. This is a great place for snorkeling and scuba diving and is very popular as a turtle haven. There is a mound like a mountain on which there are many turtle habitats,approximately 12 with a size of 1.5 meters which have an estimated age of almost 100 years. In addition to being a site turtle habitat,it has beautiful coral that can spoil your eyes and many species of fish that you can meet. If you want to dive and take pictures with turtles then this is the place!
2. Meno wall
Has a maximum depth of 24 meters Meno wall is a paradise for lovers of macro photos. This site is perfect for open Water courses and Advanced Adventure courses the wall provides a beautiful topography to walk across. This is the perfect dive to challenge and reward all divers with exciting macro dives. Apart from the nude branch,sea horse,the Green Turtle,Clownfish,Angelfish and Anemone Fish can be seen here.
3. Meno slope
With a maximum depth of 28 meters,the Meno slope has the character of a sandy dive site and there are large boulders that are good for macro spots and night dives. Meno Slope is home to various species of marine animals such as turtles,eels,and scorpion fish. The main attraction of this place is that you can dive while looking at the statue of the two couples hugging on the seabed. This is where many divers usually capture the moment to take pictures with the statue.
4. Bounty Wrecks
With a depth of 25-26 meters located in the southwestern part of Gili Meno,here you can see the wreck of a ship that sank around 10 years ago. This diving spot is perfect for all levels of divers. Besides seeing the beautiful coral reefs,you can also swim with turtles and various types of fish. Here the type of wreck is the bounty bridge that collapsed about 20 years ago,with lots of shop coral growing on it.
