So,what is a PADI Rescue Diver course? It is a two-day diving course where you will learn what it takes to,as the name of this course implied, rescue your fellow diving buddies, especially in the open ocean. The important skills that will help you to prevent and manage dive emergencies, increase awareness and navigation.
Imagine if you are diving together with your friends in the ocean and one of them is having a problem with his or her diving equipment. What will you do? If you don’t know how to help your friend, you are going to panic and the others will panic too. It is a situation that you don’t want to encounter, right?
But,what if you have taken the PADI Rescue Diver course? You will stay calm, dive towards your friend, assess the situation and know which part of the equipment that needs to be fixed. You will be able to calm your friend and others too. You feel good;you feel confident because you have the set of skills to help your friends, right? He or she will thank you, then all of you will be able to continue exploring the ocean because they feel secure in having you as their Rescue Diver.

PADI Emergency First Response (EFR) Course
Welcome! You have come to the Emergency First Response course because you want to become a full-fledged PADI Rescue Diver or because of other reasons. Whatever it is,you want to learn the skills that will help prepare you for emergencies in the future. Just like Walter Maddox,Mayor of Tuscaloosa once said:“Training proves to be the key ingredient to handling any disaster”.
You might be thinking, why do I have to take the EFR course? Well, imagine yourself diving with your group of friends in the open ocean and suddenly, one of your friends starts having difficulty in breathing,he spits out his regulator and flails his arm. In this kind of situation,if you don’t have EFR training previously, you will panic, right?
However, can you imagine yourself differently if you have taken the EFR course?. You will dive towards him, putting back the regulator on his mouth and then you will take him back to the shore to lay him down, assess his situation calmly, apply the necessary EFR skills before paramedics come to collect him in order to treat him at nearby hospitals.
Because you treated him fast and accordingly in the first few minutes of emergency,he recovers well and has less injury. Isn’t it awesome?
Now that you tell me about it,it is awesome. So,tell me more about this EFR course.
