If you depart from Bali,then you can take a fast boat from Padangbai Harbor for a 1.5 hour journey and will immediately get off at Gili Trawangan. If you want to travel cheaply,then you can take a ferry from Padangbai Harbor to Lembar Harbor on Lombok Island for 4 hours where to go to Gili Trawangan,you have to go to Bangsal Harbor first.

The second way is via Lombok Island where you can use the air route and enter via Lombok International Airport. From the airport,you have to travel to Bangsal Harbor or Nara Bay. You can also go to Senggigi using a fast boat from Bali.

Most tourists actually prefer to travel through Nara Bay. The reason is,the car park to the speedboat area is very close. Meanwhile,from Bangsal Harbor,you have to walk first or use cidomo to get to the pier.

The event is held to ask for rain and is always held at Gili Trawangan Art Market during the seventh month of the local calendar.

 Verified “Give me some fin…dudeee” #spicy We took a fun dive with this dive shop and overall it was a great experience. We went out to Bounty Wreck and Aziz was our instructor/guide. He was full of energy and great fun to be with. We got onto the boat just outside of their shop (walked to it from the shore) and they were blasting music to/from the dive site and taking pictures. They also threw in use of their go pro for IDR 100k and it was appreciated. Although,it did run out of battery part way through the dive! One downside is that they didn’t fully check the equipment pre dive as one of our tanks didn’t have the air turned on. Of course its a joint responsibility to check equipment when you’re an experienced diver,but its something that was a little unnerving before jumping in. The dive itself was great,we hung out with the giant turtles (no joke,they were just lying there and we were right next to them) and after the dive they provided some lunch as well.  Verified Standout activity and people! The best thing I did on Gilli I was recommended this place and would highly recommend it to others. The staff - Ahmed,Shaker and Azis were awesome. As a solo traveler and first time diver,I was really nervous but the teams passion and knowledge made me feel at ease. They invited me along for a sunset boat ride (which was a highlight) where I got to enjoy the views and water whilst some of the others did a night dive. I felt really comfortable with the crew and they were a good laugh. Azis playing his guitar was a bonus! I did the Discovery Dive the next morning,saw turtles and sharks and loved it so much that I ended up doing another dive that afternoon. The diving centre is on the quieter side of the island which also made the entire experience much more enjoyable! An absolute must do if you visit Gili.

 Verified Two words:Amazing People Come here!! Amazing experience with a fun,professional and really laid back crew. Everyone from this diving center is here to make the experience as good as possible,starting from diver master Ahmed to all the local people with a permanent smile,they adapt easily to our schedule,have the best most recent gear. I went in 3 dives with another diver and everything was tailored to what we wanted to see. Contrary to other large diving centers where large groups are ferried together in big boats to diving spots,here it was the amazing Ahmed,a crew of 2 helpers,and me plus the second diver on a fast dinghy. The diving is from another planet,crystal clear water,it’s like diving inside an aquarium with all the fish we can imagine,turtles everywhere,even white tip reef sharks. One word:Amazing!

 Verified Cannot recommend enough! 10/10 🌞 We couldn’t recommend Trawangan Stingray Diving strongly enough. Although we arranged to go diving very last minute and were slightly apprehensive as we hadn’t been diving in while,this was by far the best diving set up we’ve experienced. We were made to feel so comfortable,the equipment and boat were very modern,and Ahmed was the perfect instructor. All in all,it was an absolutely incredible diving experience! 10/10 🤿🐡🐢🐙🐠

 Verified Super cool dive experience Super cool dive experience. The crew were really good and helpfull. Originally planned to do only 2 dives but it became 4 at the end .You can choose which divesites you would like to do. Before every dive they give you a short briefing and after the dive what we have seen. And on my last night i hung out with the crew at the center chilling and enjoying the music..  Verified The best diving place that you can find We had the best experience with Trawangan Stingray Divers,the staff is amazing,the equipment is very good and the facilities are very nice. Azis helped us in our diving and he teached us so many new things,he has the best energy and attitude,we loved diving with him. All the team is great,always smiling and willing to help with everything. They also helped us taking to do the statues Snorkeling. 1000% recommended this diving. I was here for diving training (Open Diving Course) and I can say that it was full of emotions,knowledge and adventure. The underwater amazing world right here on the coast.   It took a while to write this review but now that I’ve been diving with other centers as well I really want to write it because I’m not satisfied. We chose this diving center to do our Padi open water certificate when we were in Gili T on April. It has a good pool which has a shallower and a deeper end so it works well for practicing (partly salt water though). They also have good facilities at the center like a study room where we could watch the course videos (sometimes when it was open,no opening hours). One of the reasons we chose this center is that they were able to offer one instructor for two persons instead of four. The equipment seemed great at first glance but eventually we noticed that their wetsuits were ripped and worn out and they didn’t have enough sizes to fit all customers. Also,you would think that after Covid the equipment would be disinfected after each customer but we left them ready for the next day and I got someone else’s gear the next day which was nasty. I don’t think they disinfect even after the customer is done using them,just rinse in a bowl of water with boots and everything. Many of the tanks were leaking at least a little. The lunch that was promised to us every day we got only once. The boat they use is very nice and big. The biggest reason for my disappointment was their customer service and way of educating. The manager of the place,Ahmed,seemed preferential towards other two customers on the same course. We felt like we got no empathy or understanding from the manager as beginner divers. The way of giving feedback made us feel like we are doing everything wrong even though we were there to learn. The customer service and communication,both f2f and in messages,was rude and in my opinion also unprofessional. My boyfriend had health issues during the course and we(/he) needed to cancel his dives last minute because of that and the situation was handled unprofessionally. I understand it’s problematic to make such changes in short notice but we got comments like we are the most expensive customers the school has ever had and I think my boyfriend felt a strong pressure to go diving even though he was not feeling well. Eventually after two weeks of recovering from Typhoid fever we were able to finish the course by doing the last two dives and we were super happy about it. Also because they have no refund policy even though you’re sick. I need to say a special thanks to both of our instructors who were great and understanding. Edit. After writing this review I got a message from the manager that I’m wrong and my review is not truthful. He advised me to go see a psychiatrist which I think is also not acceptable. However this was my opinion and perspective of how things went and I’m really astonished that someone can write to another person something like that. Edit 2. Yes,I was emotional because of the way we were treated. I hope everyone who reads the review will think of the reasons that made me cry in front of everyone. I hope you do learn from this feedback,stand behind your actions and treat your customers in a way that does not make them cry. I even sent a nice apology message to the manager to clear the air so it would be nicer to go diving once it’s possible again but he gave no response or apology from his side because he still doesn’t seem to notice what went wrong. The way the manager supported me when I was upset was by saying that I might be too emotional to their diving school. I hope that I am not being harassed anymore with answers and messages that are insulting and the public processing of this matter can end now.   We did our Open Water course with this company in April and unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. I had health issues in the middle of the course and when I informed the manager about that and asked if the dives can be moved to the future,I got an answer that the course will continue because there are three other participants and nothing else. That day I went to visit at the diving school and according to manager,a flu does not affect diving as long as I can equalize,so I went diving on that day even though I personally felt unsafe to go diving in that condition. The next morning I felt much worse and went to visit the diving school and I asked if I could cancel my dive. My instructor said it's ok,but the manager started arguing with us and said for example that we have been his most expensive customers because we canceled the dive in the morning because I had fever(?). After two weeks of being sick,I asked if I could get a receipt for the dives so I can apply for a refund from my insurance company if I can't do the last two dives. However,the manager did not agree to this,so I decided to go for the last two dives even though I felt that I was still little bit sick. In addition,we were promised lunch every day (we got it once) and classroom access (usually they told us they are closing so we need to leave). They said that the equipments are the best on the island,but they couldn't find even a shortie wetsuit in the right size for me,so I got a long wetsuit which was already ripped. In my opinion this course wasn’t that successful as it should have been. I hope this review will be accepted as a feedback and I hope that they will learn from this. After my girlfriend's review,the manager sent her very rude messages on whatsapp and also said that she need to go to psychotherapy because her reviews are not true.   I registered with them after enquiring at 6 different schools and it was an event choice. I was diving after 7 years and was not able to maintain proper buoyancy in my first dive. I received some very good pointers after that and my second dive was the smoothest ever. Instructors are super friendly and available to answer every question.   We did 12 dives and we loved each one of them! We did a refresher,many fun dives and then took the PADI Advanced course. We felt taken care of by our instructor Shaker who was super professional,very friendly,knew all the sights and helped us spot numerous turtles 🐢,octopus 🐙,sting rays,sharks 🦈,moray eels and more. He shared so many stories and taught us so much more about diving ❤️ Shaker made our dive Unforgettable⭐️ The rest of the crew including George,Amr,Emeré were also such a fun company during and after the dives,sharing abundance of interesting stories,we laughed a lot… super personal and so lovely- they made it hard for us to leave.   If you want to do a fund dive,discover scuba diving or do a certification,stingray is your best choice! I made a deep dive certification with them,their clases are really easy to understand,they know well the diving sites,their gear is in pretty good conditions,and they even record you and everything interesting you find during the dives and share it with you free of charge.   Sehr gute Tauchschule in Gili T.. Habe meinen Advanced Open Water Kurs dort gemacht und war rundum zufrieden. George,der Tauchlehrer,hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen und alles ausführlich erklärt. Das inklusive Mittagessen war lecker. Wir waren an vielen wunderschönen Tauchplätzen und haben Schildkröten,Haie und Rochen gesehen. Kann die Tauchschule nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!
